Writing with queer history workshop
I’m teaching a Historical Fiction Writing Workshop on Queer Travel Guides at Queer History Boston (565 Boylston St, Boston) at 3pm June 26, 2026. Visit Queer History Boston’s website to register.
In this intimate writing workshop, you’ll come into the Queer History Boston archives and work directly with original LGBTQ+ travel guides to New England from the 1970s through the 2000s — the actual documents that helped queer people find the bars, guesthouses, bookstores, and beaches that made community possible across the region.
Past Teaching and Workshops
If you want to learn about language and gender, I’m your gal. Years ago, I taught courses at Harvard and the University of Toronto, including Language and Gender, Travelling Words, Anthropology of Canada, Sociocultural Anthropology, and more. I’ve taught classes as small at 10 and as big as 300. A summer student once gave me a bag of mangos, which I truly appreciated.
